Warangal: Youth Murdered by Constable Over Suspension Grudge

The Hanamkonda police have cracked the murder mystery of a missing youth and arrested six individuals, including constable Bashaboina Srinivas, in connection with the crime. Authorities also recovered a car, two autos, two bikes, five mobile phones and an air pistol used in the murder from the accused’s possession on Tuesday. Warangal police commissioner Sunpreet Singh revealed that the victim, identified as 30-year-old Chidam Sai Prakash, had previously lodged complaints about constable Srinivas’s illicit relationship with his relative, Nirmala, with higher officials. This had led to Srinivas’s suspension. The constable resumed duty later and allegedly sought revenge.

Death sentence in sensational multiple-murder case

The Warangal First Additional District and Sessions Court awarded the death penalty to Sanjay Kumar Yadav, a 24-year-old migrant worker from Bihar, for the gruesome mass murder of nine people. The bodies of the victims were recovered from an abandoned agricultural well in Gorrekunta village, Geesugonda mandal, Telangana. Sanjay Kumar Yadav was involved in an intimate relationship with a 37-year-old woman named Rafiqa. When she pressured him to marry her, he laced her buttermilk with sleeping pills, strangled her, and threw her off a running train in Andhra Pradesh.

Software engineer dies by suicide in Warangal

A 25-year-old software engineer, Ganji Keerthana, allegedly died by suicide at her residence in Warangal’s Kashibugga area. Employed at a foreign firm in Bengaluru, she had been undergoing treatment for anxiety linked to work-related stress. Her parents Ganji Umashankar and Krishnaveni had gone out when Keerthana took the extreme step. When her mother returned home and looked through the window, she saw Keerthana hanging from the ceiling. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene, registered a case and initiated an investigation. The family members stated that they had no suspicions regarding the cause of her death.
