Warangal: Youth Murdered by Constable Over Suspension Grudge

Warangal police commissioner Sunpreet Singh revealed that the victim, identified as 30-year-old Chidam Sai Prakash, had previously lodged complaints about constable Srinivas’s illicit relationship with his relative, Nirmala, with higher officials. This had led to Srinivas’s suspension. The constable resumed duty later and allegedly sought revenge.

A 25-year-old software engineer, Ganji Keerthana, allegedly died by suicide at her residence in Warangal’s Kashibugga area. Employed at a foreign firm in Bengaluru, she had been undergoing treatment for anxiety linked to work-related stress. Her parents Ganji Umashankar and Krishnaveni had gone out when Keerthana took the extreme step. When her mother returned home and looked through the window, she saw Keerthana hanging from the ceiling. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene, registered a case and initiated an investigation. The family members stated that they had no suspicions regarding the cause of her death.
