Two people from Hanamkonda, including a dentist and a software engineer, lost their lives after their car lost control and fell into a roadside ditch near Jangaon on the Hyderabad–Warangal National Highway. Four other family members suffered minor injuries.
A mini truck carrying provisions from Hyderabad suffered a punctured tyre. While the truck driver, shop owner, and the cleaner of a passing lorry were attempting to change the tyre, a speeding lorry rammed into the stationary mini truck from behind.
