A farmer died of cardiac arrest while waiting at an agricultural market in Warangal district on Sunday. Farmers alleged prolonged procurement delays were causing distress to cultivators. Similar incidents of farmers collapsing at procurement centres were reported in multiple Telangana districts recently.

Farmers are charging that the officials were delaying procurement since last one month and subjecting the farming community to a lot of distress.

Incidents of farmers collapsing at procurement centres occurred at Nalgonda, Rangareddy and Jayashankar Bhupalpally districts last week.
