Vinayaka Chavithi

Vinayaka Chavithi, also known as Ganesh Chaturthi, is a major Hindu festival celebrated with great devotion in Warangal District. The festival marks the birth of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the god of wisdom and prosperity. Devotees install beautifully decorated Ganesh idols in homes and public places, offer special prayers, and organize cultural programs and processions. The celebrations conclude with the immersion of the idols in lakes and water bodies, symbolizing Lord Ganesha’s return to his heavenly abode.
