Warangal MP Kadiyam Kavya recently highlighted agricultural support measures, including Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for major crops. For the 2025–26 season, MSPs were announced for crops such as paddy and cotton, which are widely grown in the Warangal region.
Dr. Kavya praised Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) for settling claims worth Rs 12,256 crore in 2024-25, benefiting 1,514 lakh farmers across 622 lakh hectares.
She said 16.90 lakh hectares have been covered under Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY), aiding 28.24 lakh farmers with assistance of Rs 31,500 per hectare over three years.
“This data reflects progress, but we must push for more localised implementation,” Dr. Kavya urged.
